Pamper Yourself This Winter with Bedford's Best Spas While You Wait for Spring

I don’t know about you, but I’m not a winter person. January is my birthday month and while I usually dream of escaping to a warm beach, this year I decided to stay close to cozy home here in Nova Scotia — which I truly love. With the world feeling a bit unpredictable, staying grounded feels right for me.
So instead of traveling, I chose something different… spa month. And yes — I may have gone a little overboard. I recently moved to Bedford and I can’t believe how many amazing spas are just a stone’s throw away — and even better, they’re all locally owned and women-led businesses:
Bello Day Spa — incredible facials and much more. Carrie (owner) and Hannah have make me feel so welcome and pampered each time I visit! They are at 12 Ella Lane, Suite 213. Bedford.
NuYou Med Spa — amazing facial tightening treatments. Vanessa (owner) is the queen of the face and skin tightening. We're working on my tech neck and face ;) NuYou is located at 28 Esquire Lane, Bedford.
The Highlander Spa — fantastic massages, hair, nails, full body (basically everything you can imagine) at this beautiful new location! Ghada (owner) is so fantastic and her staff were a dream. The Highlander Spa is located at 827 Bedford Highway, also 1597 South Park Street, Halifax.
Bliss Indian Head Massage — next-level head massage experience. Kavita is lovey and her head, neck and shoulder massage was amazing! Bliss is at Homebodhi Wellness at 1368 Bedford Highway and Wink Day Spa, 49 Inglis Place, Truro.
These beautiful spots offer so many services — and I’m extra excited because they’re ALL exhibitors in our upcoming Spring Wellness Show.
I’ve also created a little home office / spa corner with a portable sauna, red light lamp, and vibration plate so I can fully hibernate when needed — and honestly, I'm looking forward to warmer days so I can start visiting some of Nova Scotia’s amazing hydrothermal spas. I’ve got a few on my must-visit list already — Sensea in Chester and Oceanstone near Peggy’s Cove are calling my name. Nothing better than hot/cold circuits, ocean air, and total reset energy.
Over the next few months I’ll also be visiting more wellness locations and overnight spa stays around Nova Scotia — creating features and promos for some BIG Spring Show prize packages. (I'm so excited)
Until then — let’s get through winter and plan for spring.
